Twist

Having to explain this illustration to those of you who do not recognize or know Chubby Checker sure does date me. I popped up the new work for Illustration Friday, "Twist." For about the next half hour I kicked words around in my head, all the while I'm singing, "Let's twist again, like we did last Summer. Let's twist again like we did last year." That's when I decided to just do a gesture portrait of the man I will always associate with the word "Twist."
